- Above the fireplace is the painting of Mrs Richard West and her son James, possibly by the English painter Thomas Clement Thompson c1820.
- To the left is a Restoration chair which celebrates the restoration of Charles II to the throne in 1660 by a crown and cherubs on the top rail.
- On the right is the Prince Charles (later King Charles II) traveling trunk. During his exile Prince Charles left behind some baggage, including this trunk, when departing from Jersey. The trunk, made from Oak, covered with horse hide and studded with brass nails was handmade in c.1620
