BOARD MEMBERS – INTRODUCTION DETAILS
Mr. Ray Foley (Board Chair)
Mr. Foley is based in Launceston and has been a member of the National Trust in Tasmania for more than 30 years. From 1986-1988 he served as State President and a Board Member of the Australian Council of National Trusts. He was a member of the National Trust Government Advisory Committee 2005-2006 and more recently is the Chair of the Clarendon Committee.
Mr. Andrew Kemp (Dep. Chair)
Andrew G. Kemp AM FCPA FAICD has had wide public, private and not-for-profit company director experience.
His business involvement has been in timber milling, brick manufacturing, hardware retailing, forest industries, primary industries and seaport and airport operations.
He chaired a review of local government in Tasmania.
His is a past-Director of the Tasmanian Community Fund, a Director of May Queen Pty. Ltd., Chairman of the St. David’s Cathedral Foundation and is Honorary Consul for Finland in Tasmania.
He chaired the National Trust of Australia (Tasmania) Government Advisory Council and is passionate about creating a greater understanding and appreciation of Tasmania’s rich and diverse cultural heritage.
Mrs. Lynne Stacpoole
Based in Launceston, Mrs. Stacpoole has been a Company Director of Stacpoole Enterprises Pty. Ltd. a state-wide family business, for over 30 years. She has had strong volunteer, cultural and community involvement over the last decade, including being an art guide, President & Immediate Past President of the Friends of the QVMAG and treasurer of the Australian Decorative Fine Arts Society Launceston.
Miss Pam Bartlett
Miss Bartlett, based in Devonport, has had a long involvement with the National Trust having joined in the early 1960’s. She has been continually involved in the management of Home Hill, Devonport, since it was first opened to the public in early 1982. She has extensive committee experience.
Dr. Dianne Snowden
Dr. Snowden is a professional historian and genealogist based in Richmond and has served on the Tasmanian Heritage Council including as Interim Chair. She has extensive involvement in a range of volunteer organisations such as the Association for Children with Disability, the Tasmanian Historical Research Association and is currently vice-president of the Coal River Valley Historical Society.
Mr. Richard Hammond
Based in Launceston, Mr. Hammond, a self-employed environmental consultant, has been involved with various aspects of natural resource management in both the public and private sectors. He has had a strong involvement with Wildcare Inc., is the Public Officer of Volunteering Tasmania and is the Tasmanian representative on the Board of Volunteering Australia.
Mr. Chris Tassell (Managing Director)
Mr. Tassell was Director of the Queen Victoria Museum, Launceston for 28 years, during which time he led the Museum in a massive transformation. Mr. Tassell has been awarded the Order of Australia and Centenary Medal for his contribution to the Arts and Cultural Heritage.
