Museums Australia -10 Icons
The National Trust, in conjunction with Museums Australia Tasmania, is making available the results of the 10 Icons project for the public to view.
Museums Australia is the national organisation for the museums sector, committed to the conservation, continuation and communication of Australia's heritage.
In 1997 Museums Australia conducted a state-wide project documenting a selection of those objects held by small museums and heritage properties that might be regarded as icons of national significance. Each of those museums as invited to forward 10 items.
